pie, cake, tarts, cupcakes and marble cheese cake






Cheese cake makes an excellent dessert in any form. You can dress it up with berries and whipped cream or you can add chocolate for diversity. I personally like it plain.




cheese pie


ingredients

  • 2 pkgs - 8" ready made graham pie shells
  • 2 - 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 pint sour cream
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • cinnamon

instructions

  • Pre-heat oven to 350
  • Warm cream cheese to room temperature
  • Beat eggs / gradually add sugar
  • In mixer on med speed beat cream cheese until fluffy
  • Add egg mix to cream cheese
  • On low speed, beat until smooth
  • Add vanilla & sour cream / mix well
  • Pour filling into 2 pie shells
  • Bake 25 minutes
  • Keep in turned off oven for 40 min
  • Sprinkle with cinnamon
  • Cool on rack / freezes well

For a cheese cake, use this same recipe. Follow the directions on a box of graham crackers for the lining of a 10" spring pan. Bake 35 min / let cool in oven 45 min. When cool, remove from spring pan. Sprinkle with cinnamon or cover with fruit.




no bake cheese tarts


ingredients

  • Purchase 24 graham tart shells
  • 2 - 8 oz cream cheese at room temperature
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 pint heavy cream beaten stiff

instructions

  • Cream together cream cheese & sugar
  • Fold in heavy cream
  • Scoop into graham shells
  • Cover with fruit
  • Refrigerate

ingredients

  • 25 foil bake cups
  • 3 - 8 oz cream cheese
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 3/4 tsp vanilla

instructions

  • Pre-heat oven to 300
  • Warm cream cheese to room temperature
  • Beat eggs / gradually add 1 cup sugar
  • Add 1 1/2 tsps vanilla
  • Mix well
  • Fill cups 3/4 full
  • Bake 30 minutes
  • Remove / cool 5 min
  • Mix 1 cup sour cream, 1/2 cup sugar & 1/4 tsp vanilla
  • Cover tops of cup cakes
  • Bake 5 minutes
  • Cool / refrigerate
  • Add fruit or sprinkle with cinnamon



marbleized cheese cake


ingredients

  • 1 box of graham crackers
  • 4 - 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup butter / margarine
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
  • 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tbsp vanilla
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour

instructions

  • Pre-heat oven to 300
  • For 10" spring pan prepare graham cracker lining according to box instructions
  • Warm cream cheese to room temperature
  • In mixer, beat cream cheese until fluffy
  • Gradually add condensed milk
  • Beat in eggs & vanilla
  • Add flour / mix well
  • Mix 1/2 of batter with cocoa
  • Spoon 1/2 of vanilla batter into pie crust
  • Spoon 1/2 of choc batter over vanilla batter
  • Repeat once more ending with choc batter
  • With knife, cut through batter to marbleize
  • Bake 50 - 60 min or until center is set
  • Cool on rack / refrigerate
  • Makes 12 servings
